Our Educational Division serves individuals with learning disabilities; emotional issues that impact learning and academic functioning; developmental disabilities; and mental retardation. We also provide neuropsychological evaluation services to the normative and gifted population.
The Educational Division of our company contracts with schools and with individual clients. Evaluations performed through our Educational Division focus on cognitive, neuropsychological, academic and emotional issues that impact one’s academic functioning.
Neuropsychological Evaluations are utilized to assess the presence of learning disabilities, giftedness, and the wide array of cognitive and emotional issues that affect one’s scholastic performance. Detailed recommendations regarding academic placement, teaching strategies and required specialized teaching accommodations are offered.
Early Childhood Assessments
Early Childhood Assessments are available for families who question whether their child’s development is on target and whether they require early intervention services. Such assessments typically include cognitive and linguistic measures, along with measures of adaptive functioning.
Specialized Testing Accomodation Evaluations
Specialized Testing Accomodation EvaluationsThese evaluations are utilized to assess one’s need for specialized testing accommodations on standardized school admissions tests, such as the SAT, ACT, LSAT, MCAT and the like, whose testing administrations require an assessment of need in order to qualify individuals for such accommodations.
Vocational testing can be particularly useful for adolescents, young adults, and individuals considering a mid-life career change. Such assessment measures one’s abilities, interests, and personality characteristics and determines which occupations best match the individual on the basis of these factors.
The Educational Division also handles all evaluations related to Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (MRDD) in both children and adults. MRDD Evaluations are often used to qualify individuals for monetary and service-related benefits offered by government agencies. In some cases MRDD evaluations are utilized to afford Certificates of Merit when legal documentation of the disability is required.
